Jennifer Nicoll

Jennifer Nicoll is a seasoned finance and operational executive with over 30 years of experience working with professional service firms such as PwC and EY, as well as global and boutique financial services companies in the UK and internationally. She has a proven track record in establishing new operations and implementing process changes in challenging business environments, alongside extensive involvement in corporate finance activities.

In recent years, Jennifer has focused on supporting early-stage and growing businesses within the enterprise ecosystem, helping them understand and manage their commercial impact and funding requirements. In 2016, she returned to Argyll to serve as Area Manager for Highlands & Islands Enterprise (HIE), contributing to the region’s economic and community development.

After returning to Edinburgh in 2019, Jennifer joined the leadership team of an early-stage, high-growth company in the rural broadband sector. She played a key role in securing significant private and institutional funding to support the company’s scale-up activities. In March 2024, she stepped away from the business as it entered its next phase of growth.

Throughout her career, Jennifer has served on the boards of various charitable organisations and as a board observer on behalf of HIE for several business, academic, and community organisations. A member of Investing Women Angels since its inception, she has invested in several early-stage companies. Jennifer is also a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland and has previously served on the tax and operational committees of the Investment Association (formerly IMA) in the UK.
