Stuart Yuill
Stuart is a former senior banker with well over 30 years’ experience at all levels of mainstream banking. He trained with Clydesdale Bank undertaking various roles in Branches and Head Office before ending his time with Clydesdale as Manager of a High Value portfolio of Commercial Clients. On moving to Bank of Scotland, latterly LBG, Stuart carried our several managerial and executive management roles. His specialism is the SME segment of the market (95% of Scottish business) and in his role as Executive Director at DSL he is able to continue to apply his expertise and enthusiasm for this segment of the market.
On leaving LBG Stuart established an advisory consultancy so, like many DSL clients, he has been through the experience of starting and running his own business. He has been on the Board of DSL since early 2011 and Executive Director since January 2016
He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers in Scotland, a Council director of Glasgow Chamber of Commerce, a member of the Glasgow Employer Board and an Associate with Consilium Chartered Accountants.
Away from business Stuart is a keen golfer and a season ticket holder at Glasgow Warriors. He is also a District Commissioner and Adult Trainer in the Scout Movement where he has been a member since childhood.
