Standard Terms Of Business

DSL Business Finance Ltd is a Business Support Partner for the Start Up Loan Scheme. We are not the lender.

As a Business Support Partner, we will review your initial application and help you gather the necessary information to create a well-thought-out and costed proposal for the loan. However, we cannot provide advice specific to your business sector or type.

Credit decisions are made by third parties, and after reviewing your application, the loan offer may be lower than your initial request.

If you choose to proceed with the loan, you might be eligible for additional funding in six months. You should discuss this option with the DSL Loan Officer assisting you with your application.

DSL is legally required to ensure the loan is affordable for you in all circumstances. This is part of the Treating Customers Fairly initiative. For more information, please refer to our treating customers fairly page.

A Start Up Loan is a personal loan. This means that even if your business does not succeed as planned, you will still need to repay the loan. Failure to make payments could result in legal action against you and negatively impact your credit rating.

For more information about Start Up Loans, visit their website: Start Up Loans – small businesses can borrow up to £25,000.

DSL is committed to protecting your personal data. As part of the loan application process, we will share your data with the Start Up Loan company and the Finance Provider. Please read our Privacy Notice

Continuing with the application confirms your agreement to our Privacy Notice. If you need a copy of this notice in an alternative format (e.g., email or large print), please ask your Loan Officer.

DSL will provide all the information you need about the Start Up Loan scheme to help you make an informed decision about proceeding with the loan. If you need further information or clarification at any point during the application process, please ask your Loan Officer.

If your loan application is successful, you will receive loan documentation from the Finance Provider. You should read this carefully before proceeding.

At this point, DSL will have completed their part of your funding journey, and the Finance Partner will manage the relationship going forward. However, DSL is always available to assist you with any questions about further funding or to direct you to necessary information sources. You can contact your Loan Officer directly or email info@dsl-businessfinance.co.uk.
